Barnstaple is the main town centre in North Devon. The town is located on the A361, approx 45 minutes from Junction 27 on the M5.
Barnstaple sits on the River Taw and is an ancient town and was granted its original charter in 930 AD by King Aethelstan, the grandson of Alfred the Great.
